GIOACCHINA OLIVE GROVE

Description

This area is a valley facing south, at an altitude of 160 m. It borders on the populated area of Canino. To the south, the sea is visible 14 km away. The climate is that typical of the Maremma zone—mild, but very dry in the summer and with strong northerly winds in the winter. The soil is predominantly clayey with low nitrogen content which probably contributes to the characteristic bitterness of the Canino variety.
