GRAND CRU MONTE FREDDO
Territory description
Located from top to bottom of a slope facing east at an altitude of 249 m. The climate is typically Maremma characterized by mild summers and winters. It is bordered on 2 sides by a large Mediterranean scrub, which helps to shelter it during the winter from strong winds from the north, and during the summer it helps to maintain a high degree of humidity in the soil avoiding water stress in plants. Clayey-tufaceous soil rich in nitrogen has characteristics that contribute to the creation of vegetal scents typical of the Caninese cultivar.
