MORONE OLIVE GROVE

Description

This area is on top of a hill at an altitude of 200 m. This area was probably the site of an Etruscan tomb. To the south, the sea is visible 15 km away. The climate is that typical of the Maremma zone—mild, but very dry in the summer and with strong northerly winds in the winter. The soil is predominantly clayey with low nitrogen content which probably contributes to the characteristic bitterness of the Canino variety.
